Kyiv TSUM to be Open in Late Summer 2016

Based on consultations with major lease holders, Esta Holding has decided to move the opening of Kyiv TSUM to the end of summer 2016.

“Kyiv TSUM is probably the most complicated construction project, being underway in Ukraine. We have faced various external challenges on every stage of construction; nevertheless we have managed to proceed with construction works in accordance with the previously planned schedule. Due to current economic and political situation, there is a risk of a slight delay,” Maksim Gromadtsov, CEO of Esta Holding Company, which is a developer of Kyiv TSUM, says. “Retail market has its rules, thus shifting of the opening date on 1 or 2 weeks in the midst of the spring-summer season may essentially impact sales of our lease holders. That is why we have consulted our partners and made decision, being rather safe for them and for the project in general. Kyiv TSUM will be open in August 2016, at the beginning of the autumn-winter season. This decision will let our partners thoroughly get ready for the opening and to offer customers the best range of goods.”

As of now, construction of the fourth and fifth floors is being completed at the TSUM construction site. Experts of Ukrproektrestavratsiya Scientific and Research Institute have started to work on the restoration of the historical frontispiece of the building.
